OUR STORY

Born in the back seat
of aΒ corporate cab.

6:45 AM. Indian traffic. A cab that smelled like chemicals pretending to be flowers.

Chapter one β€” the moment

Like millions of Indians working in Corporate India, my mornings began in a company cab Big 4 consulting. Long hours. Early pickups. The commute was the one quiet moment before the storm of the workday β€” a few stolen minutes to gather your thoughts, listen to music, prepare yourself for what lay ahead.
But those moments were being ruined. Every morning, a different cab. Every cab, the same story β€” a synthetic, suffocating air freshener hanging from the rearview mirror, desperately trying to mask the staleness with something that smelled like artificial lavender or bargain-bin musk. Some days it was so strong you had to crack the window open in peak Indian humidity just to breathe.

THE MOMENT IT CHANGED

"I remember sitting in a shuffledcab one morning, rubbing my temples, a dull headache already forming before I'deven reached the office. The fragrance hanging from the mirror wasn't pleasantβ€” it was a chemical assault. And I thought: why is this the standard? Why arewe just accepting this?"

That was the question that started everything.

Chapter two β€” the research

The deeper I dug, the more I realised: the entire category was broken.
I started researching. What I found was sobering. The vast majority of car perfumes sold in India β€” across every price point β€” were built on one of two things: cheap synthetic fragrance oils or alcohol-based formulas that evaporate fast, irritate your senses, and quietly damage your car's interior over time.

Synthetic oils

Manufactured in bulk, designed to smell
strong at first and fade fast β€” so you buy another one.

Alcohol bases

Alcohol accelerates evaporation and can
crack leather, damage plastic trims, and trigger headaches with prolonged
exposure.

Designed to run out

Most last 7–10 days by design. The
repeat-purchase model profits from poor quality, not loyalty. Premium imported options existed β€” but they were priced for display cabinets, not daily drives. And none of them were built for the Indian climate, the Indian commuter, or the Indian car owner who deserved something better without paying a foreign premium for it.

I kept asking: why isn't there an Indian brand that takes this seriously? A brand that uses real fragrance oils, builds for longevity, cares about what goes into your car's air β€” and treats the car as a personal sanctuary, not just a vehicle?

Chapter three β€” the making of Sunsaa

So I stopped waiting for someone else to build it. I built it myself.

Sunsaa was born from that conviction. The name itself is intentional: we believe the air in your car should feel like a breath of something real. Not a chemical substitute. Not a fleeting synthetic spray. A genuine, lingering, premium fragrance experience that respects your senses and your space.

We spent months working with fragrance blenders, testing oil concentrations, building an alcohol-free base that could carry rich, complex scents without the damage or the fade. We tested in Indian summers, in air-conditioned interiors, in open-window highway drives. We refined until it was right.

"Oud Sultan wasn't just our first product β€” it was a statement. If we were going to challenge the category, we had to do it with the most iconic, most regal fragrance in the world. Real oud. No shortcuts."

Today, Sunsaa is India's premium 0% alcohol car fragrance brand β€” available as a hanging bottle and a dashboard gel, both crafted with premium fragrance oils, both built to last up to 75 days, and both completely free of alcohol and synthetic base chemicals.

Chapter four β€” our promise to you

Your car is your space. It deserves to smell like yours.

Whether you're a professional commuter, a weekend road tripper, or a hustler, or someone who simply believes that small luxuries matter β€” Sunsaa is for you. We believe the 20 minutes you spend in your car every morning should feel like yours. Not like a chemical factory. Not like someone else's leftover scent. Like a deliberate, considered choice.

Proudly made in India

Not an import wearing premium packaging. Blended in India, for India, with fragrance oils worthy of the world stage.

"I started Sunsaa because I was tired of settling. I think you are too.
Your drive deserves better. So does your nose."
